It's so very unfortunate that the world female soccer fiesta would come up immediately after the conclusion of the World U-17 tournament where Nigeria won the trophy for the third term to equal the records of Brazil.
The pity of the situation is that the officials of the \Nigeria Football Association do not seem to have anytime for the Falcons as they fight it out in China because they are still basking in the glory of the cup won by the Little boys .
I've been saying this over the years that the NFA does not have time for bringing up anybody as long as they can just capitalise on your success they are satisfied.
If you fail... so sorry. You're on your own, for sure.
Now the Falcons are totally neglected .
Nobody seems to be interested in them again, and this shows in the preparation for the tournament itself as well as the way they players are 'taken care of' in China.
Suddenly, we've forgotten that these are the same ladies that won the African cup for us in recent time.
Success, they say, as many parents...and relations too.
Now, we don't worry ourselves about matters relating to the Falcons.
The Eaglets are the REAL THING now.
Not eve the Eagles are catered for any more.
NFA said there was no allowance for them because the NFA purse is low in cash.
Let's rethink our ways about the matter in which we handle issues of this nature. No team should be so pampered to the detriment of others that the other teams would be let to fail for lack of adequate care.

The Chicken Has Come Back Home- Okocha Back In England
When he left for Qatar only a few knew why he had to take such a step. But we now know that the petrol-dollar was the attraction, not the style of play.
Okocha himself confessed as much to this fact when he returned to where he took off from, England.
Do you know the reason he gave for returning back to the true home of the game?
Our friend just realised that the big acceptance of his favourite toy (Ball ) was not there among the forks at the Arabian desert.
He was playing to an empty stand week-in and week-out.....
As the entertainer he is, Okocha missed the cheering crowd of soccer enthusiasts he left behind in old England.
What a shame!
They all go on pursuing the dollars as if that is the only thing to life.
What about our dear David the conqueror of Real Madrid?
For sometime now he has not been able to play and the crowd in California are getting dejected by this big money buy who could not give them their money worth after such a long wait for him to come to God's own country where the people are just begging to appreciate the game of soccer.
The players should now learn to stay where the appreciation is instead of going about with a long nose for the dollars.
Ask Gudjohnson about his hard luck at Barca. Go on ask Reyes, ask so many other players who are now regretting leaving where they were really appreciated for their talents and went after money.
Nonetheless, l want to welcome Jay Jay the magician back home.
We look forward to seeing those dribbles once again.

Even In Henry's Absence
The problem with people generally is that when they are used to something or someone they hardly wish that they person or thing should go away from them one they later. But the truth about life is that at a point in time what we truly cherish will depart from us .
The same is the case of Thierry Henry who, after so many years with the gunners, decided he must try his luck elsewhere to get the elusive medal he eyes so much with passion- The Champions' League title.
There was serious cry everywhere by mustly people who do not know the stuff Wenger was made of.
Both Henry and Ljunburg gave Wenger's seeming departure as their excuse to get out of the Emirate Stadium, but the young boys stay the course and pushed on in the new season-2007/8.
Now, we know who the problem was when he was around--- Thierry Henry!
My reason?
Well, he was too big to be blamed for any fault he committed on the field of play. Yet me missed
so much golden chances. Remember the 2004/5 season against Barcelona?
Henry denied having anything to do with Barca, but alas! He ended up being their player.
Henry was a liar!
He even lied to his dear wife and left her for another woman. Now, they are separated.
The young gunners are doing fine without the "Almighty Skippo"- Henry.
Who says Wenger would go?
They all lied!
The old man said he will never desert the young boys who are all so ambitious that he would lead them through the odds to become great players they are all dreaming of becoming in life.
What a great coach ....What a great father-figure we all have in Wenger.
If only other managers are like this guy......
If only.......
